This is the first Nokia S40 themes that I created. Inspired by the Xperia, I create the wallpaper. Although it's not exactly like the original one, I'm happy with it since I'm a beginner in grahpic designs. The Nokia Touch icons are provided by skylion. Big thanks to him. Hope you guys like it.

Linkin Park Releases Transformers Theme Song Video

Linkin Park just released the music video for their new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen theme song, "New Divide." And Reprise Records will release the soundtrack to the hotly anticipated feature film on June 23rd - the day before the movie hits theaters nationwide. The Soundtrack lead song "New Divide" by Linkin Park is available now at iTunes.

This is the theme song for the 2009 movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Co-frontman Mike Shinoda told Billboard magazine that as a group of confirmed fans of the toy and cartoon franchise, Linkin Park "created a song that we felt fit the spirit of the movie and the characters and also obviously stayed true to the spirit of the band."

Film composer Hans Zimmer adapted this song into instrumental segments for the film score and Linkin Park worked with Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky on other pieces for the movie.

This song was not Linkin Park's first contribution to the Transformers film franchise. "What I've Done" was included on the original Transformers movie's soundtrack and also was included on its trailer. Source: Songfacts

Got Ubuntu mail today

Just got mail of Ubuntu CD from Ubuntu this morning. This is the Ubuntu latest stable version (9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)) which released on 23 April 2009. I can't wait to install it tonight.

System requirements
Ubuntu is available for PC, 64-Bit PC and Intel-based Mac architectures. At least 256 MB of RAM is required to run the alternate install CD (384MB of RAM is required to use the live CD based installer). Install requires at least 4 GB of disk space.

World’s first solar powered phone

Following the news like Sony Ericsson announcing C901 GreenHeart™, Naite, MH300 GreenHeart™ and Nokia's ambient radio waves power recharge development, Samsung has launched an affordable solar powered mobile phone, Guru E1107 in India. Solar Guru will be known as Crest Solar in other regions. Now we see large phone manufacturers are environmental awarded trying to find better resources to our beloved Earth.

The Crest Solar won’t be looked upon for its features but rather for its solar charging prowess, which for 1 hour of solar charging can give around 5-10 minutes of talk time. It supports dual GSM bands (900/1800MHz) and includes a 1.52-inches 65K CSTN screen, FM Radio, MP3 ringtones, torch, Mobile Tracker, Fake Call and a 800mAh battery.

£80 million Ronaldo bid accepted

Manchester United accepted the Real Madrid's world-record £80m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo again expressed his desire to leave the club for his favourite club Real Madrid. It looks like the deal is going to be agreed. As a Manchester United fans, my thoughts is you will never success to disallow a player to play for his favourite team unless the team doesn't need him. It's a dream for every player to play in their dream club. So, I'll wish him good luck in his new team next season.

Although some Manchester United fans would want him to leave. But it is definitely a lost for Manchester United losing a first team player. It's not easy to get trusted first team players in start-up line. Anyway, Manchester United will be £80 million richer if the deal is agreed. Maybe the money will be taken to pay the debts. I'm sure Sir Alex Ferguson will bring some fresh faces into the squad which I am looking forward.

Enable N-Gage landscape option

Some of you might not know that some N-Gage compatible Nokia phones do not support landscape mode on N-Gage games. Just like mine Nokia N82. I think the reason behind this is phones like N82 doesn't have the A and B keys above. So it will be hard to play the N-Gage games in landscape view. The will be the acceptable point for Nokia to take away this options. However, I don't agree they took away the landscape of particular phones. Most games are best viewed in landscape, but part of the N-Gage games are still controllable even without the A B keys above the screen in this view. Which I think Nokia made not a good decision.

Anyway, I got a file from symbian-freak which able us to mod the N-Gage to enable the landscape option for phone like Nokia N82. Here are the tools you need:

The pictures and video were taken by smashpop's N97. You can check out his blog and see how he thinks about his Nokia N97's camera.

Overall, I think the camera standard is pretty much like the other Nokia 5MP phones. The video is still as stunning as the less of the Nokia phones did either, just the video zooming isn't fluid enough. So, no massive breakthrough from the N97 camera but the Nokia 5MP camera standard is still there.

The Nokia N86 8MP, the winner of the TIPA Award for the Best Mobile Imaging Device in 2009 is now shipping globally. However, the device isn't listed on the Nokia website yet. So there is no official price tag yet.

The device features variable aperture, which results in vibrant photos even in challenging bright and low-light conditions. The fast mechanical shutter and Automatic Motion Blur Reduction ensure shorter latencies and less motion blur. Processing times between pictures have been more than halved in comparison with many other camera phones.

Uploading pictures and videos on social networking sites like Ovi Share and Flickr is fast and simple with high-speed connectivity of the Nokia N86 8MP. 8GB of internal memory provides enough space for up to 4000 photos and the memory can be increased even further with an exchangeable 16GB microSD card.

Nokia hopes devices that never needs to be charged

A cell phone that never needs recharging might sound too good to be true, but Nokia says it's developing technology that could draw enough power from ambient radio waves to keep a cell-phone handset topped up.

Ambient electromagnetic radiation--emitted from Wi-Fi transmitters, cell-phone antennas, TV masts, and other sources--could be converted into enough electrical current to keep a battery topped up, says Markku Rouvala, a researcher from the Nokia Research Centre, in Cambridge, U.K.

Rouvala says that his group is working towards a prototype that could harvest up to 50 milliwatts of power--enough to slowly recharge a phone that is switched off. He says current prototypes can harvest 3 to 5 milliwatts.

The Nokia device will work on the same principles as a crystal radio set or radio frequency identification (RFID) tag: by converting electromagnetic waves into an electrical signal. This requires two passive circuits. "Even if you are only getting microwatts, you can still harvest energy, provided your circuit is not using more power than it's receiving," Rouvala says.

To increase the amount of power that can be harvested and the range at which it works, Nokia is focusing on harvesting many different frequencies. "It needs a wideband receiver," says Rouvala, to capture signals from between 500 megahertz and 10 gigahertz--a range that encompasses many different radio communication signals.

Historically, energy-harvesting technologies have only been found in niche markets, powering wireless sensors and RFID tags in particular. If Nokia's claims stand up, then it could push energy harvesting into mainstream consumer devices.

Earlier this year, Joshua Smith at Intel and Alanson Sample at the University of Washington, in Seattle, developed a temperature-and-humidity sensor that draws its power from the signal emitted by a 1.0-megawatt TV antenna 4.1 kilometers away. This only involved generating 60 microwatts, however.

Smith says that 50 milliwatts could require around 1,000 strong signals and that an antenna capable of picking up such a wide range of frequencies would cause efficiency losses along the way.

"To get 50 milliwatts seems like a lot," adds Harry Ostaffe, head of marketing for Pittsburgh-based company Powercast, which sells a system for recharging sensors from about 15 meters away with a dedicated radio signal.

Steve Beeby, an engineer and physicist at the University of Southampton, U.K., who has researched harvesting vibrational energy, adds, "If they can get 50 milliwatts out of ambient RF, that would put me out of business." He says that the potential could be huge because MP3 players typically use only about 100 milliwatts of power and spend most of their time in lower-power mode.

Nokia is being cagey with the details of the project, but Rouvala is confident about its future: "I would say it is possible to put this into a product within three to four years." Ultimately, though, he says that Nokia plans to use the technology in conjunction with other energy-harvesting approaches, such as solar cells embedded into the outer casing of the handset.

iPhone 3GS: Expected to be announced today (Monday 8 June)

The new Apple iPhone is expected to be announced today (Monday 8 June) at Apple’s developers conference in San Francisco.

The improvements are expected to be relatively minor, such as better battery and camera, greater memory, faster processors, Bluetooth and most critically, it will run Apple’s new 3.0 software.

Japan university gives away iPhones

Japanese university is giving away hundreds of iPhones, in part to use its Global Positioning System(GPS) to catch students who skip class. In my opinion, the truancy may not decrease if the students come out with ideas like the phone's owner give the iPhone to classmate and put in the pocket who attend the class or make fake attendance by modding the phone. That might be a blooper.

For 550 students of Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, it seemed like a dream homework project — a free iPhone each and official encouragement to play around with it and invent new applications.

But like anything in life that seems too good to be true, it was: their new toys are actually the ultimate snitches, informing the authorities when their owners are skipping classes.

Truancy among Japanese university students, even at glitteringly expensive private institutions like Aoyama Gakuin, is astonishingly high. Roll calls are perfunctory or easily circumvented and those students that can be bothered to attend lectures are often happy to shout “hai” on behalf of several of their absent friends.

The iPhone, complete with its global positioning technology, makes that scam harder to pull off: university staff can simply check the whereabouts of each phone as lectures start. Unless the phone’s owner is prepared to part with the handset itself and have it smuggled into lectures in a friend’s pocket — and few Japanese can bear to part from their phones for more than a few seconds – truancy may have been defeated.

Yet the iPhone giveaway may, inadvertently, be exposing another problem. Aoyama Gakuin struck its deal for the free phones with Softbank Mobile, the company running the network that once belonged to Vodafone in Japan.

The exclusive rights to distribute the iPhone in Japan were, supposedly, going to be the killer deal for Softbank as it competed with NTT DoCoMo and KDDI.

But while the iPhone is packed with amusing features that might have appealed strongly to many Japanese, it lacked one basic feature that everyone wants — a built-in payment swipe card for use at railway ticket turnstiles, shops and taxis.

That Softbank has plenty of iPhones left to give to students, one Tokyo Mitsubishi analyst said, may be a sign that the Apple machine is not selling as well as had been hoped.

Although, Frozen Bubble's graphic isn't as high as other S60 3D games we can find nowadays like the n-gage games and others. It is a very addictive classic S60 game. Thanks to Elias Konstantinidi who ported this game to S60 3rd platform.

As you probably already know Frozen Bubble is a popular free puzzle game (especially in Linux platform). User controls a small canon, shooting bubbles and tries to hit other bubbles so to create groups of 3 or more bubbles of the same color. Whenever this is accomplished these bubbles go away. The purpose of the game is to eliminate all bubbles from stage.

place bt_teror_launcher.py into c:/python or e:/python (depends on where you installed python)

How to use:

Open python > option > run script > bt_teror_launcher.py

Press Start

Choose the file that you want to send

Choose the recipient in the New Devices. You can save the device to list. If the device already saved, no need to find new devices, just select Saved Devices

Information about recipient will be on screen, press start

On the 1st request for sending data from the recipient, you can see the text with information on the number of times the recipient clicked yes and no on file reception.

*Note: Don't save the device if you get "NameError: Global name 'mask' is not defined

Nokia N86 8MP Time Screensaver

This is the Nokia N86 8MP flash for time screensaver. You will love this cool screensaver if you are a fan of fancy and animated stuffs. I got this from symbian-guru. So you can download the file here(right-click and save). You will notice there is a battery notification above the time, if you left click the file on the computer. Somehow, the flash doesn't show the bettery notication on my Nokia N82. Anyway, it is still a sweet screensaver even without it.

To set it up as screensaver, simply put it on your device(anywhere you like). I put mine in memory card/other. Now follow the steps below to make the screensaver work properly written by then82blog.

1. Go to Themes > Power Saver
2. Select Animation (make sure a check mark appears next to it) then hit Options > Settings
3. Select Animation File, then browse that gif or swf file you wanted to set as screensaver.
4. On Animation Time-out, indicate how long you want your screensaver to stay visible on display.
5. On Light Time-out set it to off, or to a value that is longer than the Animation Time-out.
6. Go to Display Settings.
7. On Power Saver time-out, set the number of seconds for how long you want the phone to wait before displaying the screensaver.

Important:
8. Still on the Display Settings, select Light Time-out, then set it to a value that is longer than (the value you set on [step 4] plus the value you set on [step 7])

That’s it. Step 8 is important so that backlight is available until the screensaver is finished doing its job. You won’t like the light off already when the screensaver have not started yet or while the screensaver is playing.

Tip: On [step 4], the maximum possible input is 60secs for animation time-out. If you want your screensaver to be displayed the longest time possible, I suggest setting it to a value that is just equal to (60secs minus the value you set on power saver time out [step 7]) and then on [step 8], set the light time out to 60secs. That way, the screensaver stops playing as soon as the light times out. Saves some battery.

The AccelBall 3D author claims that it only works on N93/N95/N95 8GB. I've installed AccelBall on my N82. It works fine but just a tiny sign of lagging and no vibration feedback. Might be the problem of MISO. Overall, it is a very cool application. Kudos to MitchS60!

Free-iSMS: turns Symbian S60 sms style to iPhone style

Fancy of the iPhone sms style which has text conversation history viewing? junnikokuki got the idea by introducing Free-iSMS for Symbian S60 users. I've been using this application for a few weeks and found that it works with me perfectly. It shows the sender's name and contact number when the decive received new sms which is missing in Symbian OS. The user interface isn't running as fluid as the iPhone, there is no fluid but it fine for me. The conversation bubbles can be easily differentiated to read, short-cut key added, bonus features, etc. The only point I found hard to read the text is when scrolling down to read a long text message. You might miss where you just read it after scrolled down.

- MapDrives no longer needed, mapping drives code is now built-in HelloOX, that's mean hacking is much more easier, one app does all the step!(credit must go to FCA00000)
- All mapped drives would remove automatic, no reboot needed for removing them

Sony Ericsson announces Aino, Yari, Satio (Idou)

Sony Ericsson officially announces Aino, Yari and Satio, previously code name as "Idou". The first of the devices, Aino is a new Entertainment Unlimited series and features an 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash and the usual SE camera features like Touch focus, image stabilizer, smart contrast, red-eye reduction, BestPic, geo-tagging, face detection, etc. It will also have 3" capacitive touchscreen 16 million colour display of WQVGA (432 x 240 pixels) resolution with limited touchscreen functionality. The limited touchscreen functionality means it is only active when in media player mode or camera mode (e.g. for touch focus). Aino has a slide out keypad for input when not in touchscreen mode. The selling point features of Aino is the PS3 Remote Play service, enable users to download or stream content of PS3 from their phone from anywhere in the world. The second device is Yari, the ultimate phone for mobile fun has a 5 MP cameraphone which feature the first Sony Ericsson handset with the Walkman 4 player. The handset looks set to be marketed as a 'fun' and/or 'gaming' handset with its motion and gesture control and it's media applications like SenseMe. Now this is the big one, the third handset is Satio. New Saga 1.6 M/T

Finally, the 1.6 liter version of the Proton Saga is officially on sale in Malaysia and it is limited only available in Chilli Red colour. The car is priced at RM 39,000.00 with front power windows, but with steel wheels and without air bags. I think this car has no ABS also. The lack of safety features are the big drawback of the New Saga with 5-speed manual gearbox 1.6 liter Campro IAFM engine. Imagine driving this car which equivalent to 3 stars crash test rating at the speed of 180km/h with no ABS/EBD and air bags.

Proton provides Saga 1.6 to Avenue Drive (M) Sdn Bhd, KCM Fleet Sdn Bhd, Perniagaan Lima Sejati Sdn Bhd and Public Cab Sdn Bhd as New Proton Saga Taxi last year. (Hey, it's chilli red also! Are you thinking what I'm thinking?) Hope there will be no one waving at you for cab when driving the limited chilli red 1.6 New Saga. LOL. By the way, the Proton Saga 1.6 will make Australia debut in early 2010.

It's been a long time

Hey, it's been a really long time I didn't post here. This blog has been missing it's direction and a lot of things happened to me since a year ago until now. But some how, I feel wanted to post something in this blog today.

One of the big changes since the my post in this blog is I bought a black Nokia N82. I have been using it for almost six months. I'm totally satisfy with this device. Anyone who wants to take quality pictures... YOU CAN'T MISS THIS PHONE! The Nokia N82 camera with Xenon flash is absolutely stunning when taking pictures in dark environment.

I'll be keep posting. So there will be some new posts coming within few days. It's about what am I up to lately.

I have been busy of doing my university assignments over this month. Past few days I only have 3 hours sleep just because of these. Ya, little time for me to online for surfing net, check mails and moderate Zedge forums. There will be two more to go assignments to go next week.

Just passed up my web page design assignment on time. According this assignment instrustion, I need upload the web page to the internet for bonus marks. Yes, Zedge ringtones upload have reopen. I found a really nice Chinese song ringtone, especially Nokia phones. This ringtone starts and ends with a very iconically Nokia tone, Nostalgia. Invention Of the Year: The iPhone

Stop. I mean, don't stop reading this, but stop thinking what you're about to think. Or, O.K., I'll think it for you:

The thing is hard to type on. It's too slow. It's too big. It doesn't have instant messaging. It's too expensive. (Or, no, wait, it's too cheap!) It doesn't support my work e-mail. It's locked to AT&T. Steve Jobs secretly hates puppies. And—all together now—we're sick of hearing about it! Yes, there's been a lot of hype written about the iPhone, and a lot of guff too. So much so that it seems weird to add more, after Danny Fanboy and Bobby McBlogger have had their day. But when that day is over, Apple's iPhone is still the best thing invented this year. Why? Five reasons:

1. The iPhone is pretty

Most high-tech companies don't take design seriously. They treat it as an afterthought. Window-dressing. But one of Jobs' basic insights about technology is that good design is actually as important as good technology. All the cool features in the world won't do you any good unless you can figure out how to use said features, and feel smart and attractive while doing it.

An example: look at what happens when you put the iPhone into "airplane" mode (i.e., no cell service, WiFi, etc.). A tiny little orange airplane zooms into the menu bar! Cute, you might say. But cute little touches like that are part of what makes the iPhone usable in a world of useless gadgets. It speaks your language. In the world of technology, surface really is depth.

2. It's touchy-feely
Apple didn't invent the touchscreen. Apple didn't even reinvent it (Apple probably acquired its much hyped multitouch technology when it snapped up a company called Fingerworks in 2005). But Apple knew what to do with it. Apple's engineers used the touchscreen to innovate past the graphical user interface (which Apple helped pioneer with the Macintosh in the 1980s) to create a whole new kind of interface, a tactile one that gives users the illusion of actually physically manipulating data with their hands—flipping through album covers, clicking links, stretching and shrinking photographs with their fingers.

This is, as engineers say, nontrivial. It's part of a new way of relating to computers. Look at the success of the Nintendo Wii. Look at Microsoft's new Surface Computing division. Look at how Apple has propagated its touchscreen interface to the iPod line with the iPod Touch. Can it be long before we get an iMac Touch? A TouchBook? Touching is the new seeing.

3. It will make other phones better
Jobs didn't write the code inside the iPhone. These days he doesn't dirty his fingers with 1's and 0's, if he ever really did. But he did negotiate the deal with AT&T to carry the iPhone. That's important: one reason so many cell phones are lame is that cell-phone-service providers hobble developers with lame rules about what they can and can't do. AT&T gave Apple unprecedented freedom to build the iPhone to its own specifications. Now other phone makers are jealous. They're demanding the same freedoms. That means better, more innovative phones for all.

4. It's not a phone, it's a platform
When apple made the iphone, it didn't throw together some cheap-o bare-bones firmware. It took OS X, its full-featured desktop operating system, and somehow squished it down to fit inside the iPhone's elegant glass-and-stainless-steel case. That makes the iPhone more than just a gadget. It's a genuine handheld, walk-around computer, the first device that really deserves the name. One of the big trends of 2007 was the idea that computing doesn't belong just in cyberspace, it needs to happen here, in the real world, where actual stuff happens. The iPhone gets applications like Google Maps out onto the street, where we really need them.

And this is just the beginning. Platforms are for building on. Last month, after a lot of throat-clearing, Apple decided to open up the iPhone, so that you—meaning people other than Apple employees—will be able to develop software for it too. Ever notice all that black blank space on the iPhone's desktop? It's about to fill up with lots of tiny, pretty, useful icons.

5. It is but the ghost of iPhones yet to come
The iphone has sold enough units—more than 1.4 million at press time—that it'll be around for a while, and with all that room to develop and its infinitely updatable, all-software interface, the iPhone is built to evolve. Look at the iPod of six years ago. That monochrome interface! That clunky touchwheel! It looks like something a caveman whittled from a piece of flint using another piece of flint. Now imagine something that's going to make the iPhone look that primitive. You'll have one in a few years. It'll be very cool. And it'll be even cheaper.

I'm going to write about Porsche in this post. Yes, I know this blog is not about cars. But Porsche has has unveiled a phone called P'9521, conjunction with Sagem.

The Porsche P'9521, a solid aluminium block clamshell offering fingerprint technology to lock your phone. And there's fingerprint-specific speed dialling if you want to take it further. Fingerprint security can be assigned to certain numbers stored in the phone or phone functions. It can be used to replace the standard PIN-code lock. This device can use it's fingerprint scanner as a 5-way navigator. It can flip-open in 180 degrees. Other than that, you get a 3.2MP camera (with autofocus and two-LED flash), a 1GB miniSD card and Bluetooth. It an EDGE enabled phone. This phone could cost about £815.

You can recharge it, it has a built-in lithuium ion battery. It's waterproof down to 30m. So, getting water splashed on it when washing hands will be not a problem. But recommend not swimming with it.

Thank God. After I wrote 8 posts in this blog, finally I received the first ever feedback of my previous post, 2007 phones. A positive feedback was posted in my Zedge profile guestbook. It's from a moderator from the other forum site. Due to that site is a warez website and I put the link of my blog in my Zedge profile, so I can't state out the name of that site. But I can tell that it's a famous forum site for the symbian phone users(.sis files maniacs). Yea, nice to know a new friend. And I'm still waiting for the first ever comment on my blog. Haha...

He told me he will be waiting for the release of the Nokia N81. From that moment, I begin to look for more informations of the Nokia N81. OMG, I found the Nokia N81 is it's more popular than I imagine. It's currently the most talk about model among the newly announced Nokia phones. Yup, I admit I'm getting outdated of it.

Nokia 5310 and Nokia 5610

Nokia announced two new Series 40 phones at the end of August 2007, the Nokia 5610 and Nokia 5310. The Nokia 5610 is a music slider phone. Unlike the previous models, Nokia 5200 and Nokia 5300, the plastic-look are gone. And comes in a metal solid looks.

Nokia 5610 has bar shape slider button called Music Slider. It's located below of the phone screen. You can slide it to the right or left to change or back the menus between phone menu and music menu. The motion of menu sliding moves smoothly, just like the iPhone. However, the response to the Music Slider command is a little lag or slow. Here is the video of the Music Slider.

Nokia 5610 is a 3G phone and support up to 4GB MicroSD memory card. It has a 3MP autofocus camera and two LED flash light. It can capture 30fps videos.

Nokia 5310

As for the Nokia 5310, this phone is very slim. Yup, unlike the Nokia 5200 and Nokia 5300 fat and thick. The Nokia 5310 is 9.9mm thick. Like Nokia 5610, looks way more solid than the plastic Nokia 5200 and Nokia 5300.

Nokia 5310 is lower class than the Nokia 5610. It is an EDGE phone. It has a 2MP camera, a 3.5mm jack socket(although it's slim), USB connector. It can synchronization with Windows Media Player 10, you can manage your music library via USB Mass Storage.

Now, music for everyone with Nokia 5310 and JBL speaker.

glofiish X800

glofiish is Eten first HSDPA phone in 113.5 x 60.5 x 15.8 mm size which is quite thin. It has GPS receiver and 2MP camera with autofocus. This device also have FM radio, Wi-Fi, A2DP and lots more, making the glofiish X800 as the must consider to have by the consumers who wants to buy a Windows Mobile phones.

The LG KU990 looks similar as the KE850 PRADA. Both devices have 3" touchscreen. Difference between the both devices are the LG KU900 has a 5MP camera with Xenon flash light. Motorola U9 / Z9** (I'm not sure it's a rumour or not)

I'm not sure both of these phones are rumour or not. But Motorola are confirmed that they are going to add a new U and Z series phones into their phone list. From the U9 and Z9 pictures, it looks like a fans-made concept phones. The informations I found about these phones are U9 are continue the previous Motorola phone PEBL U6 style. Added a big second external displaytouch music buttons. Other functionalities are unknown. And Z9's casing gives you the feel it's like metal. It has a 256k colours screen and 2 MP camera. It doesn't support HSDPA. But the buttons on Z9 looks pretty interesting.

Motorola Z8 "Multimedia Monster"

The Motorola Z8 is been called by it's manufacturer as Multimedia Monster. We can tell Z8 is focus on multimedia by that name. It has a special slide mechanism called Kick Slide which making the device in better ergonomics. It supports 4GB microSD memory card, A2DP and HSDPA. It opens high quality H.264 MPEG4 videos.

I found Nokia N82 should be announce on the same date as the Nokia N81. But, no. It's yet to be announced. I have no much informations about Nokia N82. If I'm not wrong, Nokia N82 will be the second 5MP with autofocus Nokia camera phone after the Nokia N95. Following the step of Sony Ericsson and LG, by adding the Xenon flash light in Nokia N82.It has Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA. If it is, Nokia N82 will be the new flagship device of N-Series range, which takes the place of Nokia N95.

The Sony Ericsson T series are back after the T610/T630. Sony Ericsson T650i is not a low class mobile phone. I almost got cheated by it's simple looking. We can say the theme design of this device is simple and easy. It has a nice metallic body and very cool keypad light-effect. It's integrated a 3MP camera with autofocus. It supports A2DP and M2.

The design of the Sony Ericsson W910 is a little similar to the W580/S500, slim slider phone. Sony Ericsson W910 supports HSDPA and has a new functionality, SensMe. Same as W580, you can shake the phone to change music tracks. But W580 can only change music tracks randomly. While the W910 can change tracks sequentially according the media playlist. Sony Ericsson W910 supports A2DP and M2 memory card. It is a complete music mobile phone.

Transfer Java games and applications from PC to LG phones via USB cable (LG S5200, LG KG800)

I'm not sure it will works on every LG phones or not, so temporarily I can say it works with the LG phones that support LG Contents Bank only.

Software you need for the transferring :

I will start from the point where you installed the LG Contents Bank(KG800) and modem driver. For other LG phone model owners, you can get your LG Contents Bank by clicking here.

Now, let us start :
1. Don't open the LG Contents Bank program(close it, make sure it's not running). Go to C:\Program Files\LGGSM\LGContentsBank and open config.ini(you may make a backup of this file) with Notepad.

2. Look for the line of PROG_SETTING that reads EXIST_JAVA=N. Then change it to EXIST_JAVA=Y

3. Save as the file you edited. Make sure the save file type is changed to "All Files" before pressing the Save button.

4. On your computer, use Windows Explorer to create a new folder in C:\Program Files\LGGSM\LGContentsBank\Contents, name the new folder, Java. Now, the Contents folder contains 3 folders called RingTone, Picture and Java.

5. Put your games(.jar and .jad) in C:\Program Files\LGGSM\LGContentsBank\Contents\Java
In most cases you will only need to put the .JAR file but if that doesn't work, you can try to put the .JAD file. You can use JADMaker to create JAD file for you.

6. Keep the phone slider open, and turn the phone modem on (Menu --> Settings --> Connectivity --> Modem --> Activate modem --> Yes, and then press the back button to get back until to the main screen)

7. Now you can connect the phone to the computer via USB cable.

8. Open the LG Contents Bank and you can see a new Java icon appeared.

9. Click the Java icon.

10. In the Contents Bank Tool menu, press Option and under Setting, Port, pick LG USB Cable and OK.

11. Click the Connect button.

12. Once connected, select the Java file you want to transfer and press Download button.

Settings for Nokia Series 40 3rd(Nokia 6280) : Opera Mini

Opera Mini is one of the most coolest application for phones. Opera Mini works in most any Java-enabled mobile phones allowing us to get a full web page(support for WML) in our phone. It is a web browser. So, now you can check your email, friends' blogs, or even the live result of your favourite sports team no matter where your are.

Opera Mini should be able to work in Nokia Series 60(Symbian Smartphone) without any configuration of the settings.

Here's how to configure the settings in Nokia Series 40 3rd edition(no previous APNs setup on it) :
I will start from the point where you installed Opera Mini into your phone, but you can't load pages with it.

1. Press Menu

2. Go to Settings

3. Go to Configuration

4. Go to Personal Configuration Settings

5. Press Options, choose Add new

6. Choose Access point

7. Now go into Access point

8. Choose Bearer settings

9. Choose Packet data access point, enter APN address corresponding to your service provider.(you should be able to get it from your service provider's website)

This is the example from service provider's website;

10. Press OK

11. Make sure you activated this Access point you newly added

12. Now you should be able to start using Opera Mini

Unpack Nokia S40(Series 40) 3rd ed phones themes

Everyone knows that we can create Nokia Series 40 3rd edition themes with S40 Theme Studio 2.2. But we saw some people downloaded some themes from internet and they like the themes' ringtone very very much. Then they started to search the ringtone in everywhere. Actually, the ringtone they wanted so badly all these times is just right in their phone's theme. We can get every contents like phone's wallpaper, icons, screen saver, ringtones, slide/flip tones(for slide/flip phones), etc.

How are we going to do it?
There are 2 methods we can follow. I will go the easiest one first.
1. First one is we need a file extractor like WinRAR or Winzip to open theme. Once opened the theme, it will "break" into apart. Wallpaper, icons, screen saver, ringtones are separated allowing us to copy it out.

2. Second method is we need S40 Theme Studio 2.2. You can download it from here. After installed the S40 Theme Studio 2.2, open it and open the S40 themes you want to take the ringtone or pictures from. Then we click File --> unpack. And you're done.

It's very easy, right? No problem.
